Smugbug Productions chooses projects that are challenging, stimulating, and reinvent audience engagement.
We engage with work on all levels of creation and presentation including stage direction, production management, producing, general management, and consulting. Our work includes projects in theater, dance, public art, video, and community engagement. Our experience spans from shoe-string to multi-million dollar budgets.
What we're working on right now:
Shake & Bake: Love's Labour's Lost is coming back to New York City this spring, for a sit-down run in Midtown Manhattan. Stay tuned, details will be available very soon!
A massive public art installation at the former Gerdau Ameristeel site in Perth Amboy, NJ. Materials for the sculptures are being salvaged from the equipment and building as they are torn down to make way for new commercial development and green space.
A new collaboratively devised adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Ivanov, with performance artist and actor Sandy Simona. Development will start with the inaugural artist residency at Delaware Valley Arts Association in Summer 2017.
New plays and musicals by Antu Yacob, Brian O'Neill, Nicole Pandolfo, and Dave Seamon.
